CLE ELUM, Wash. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women’s golf team stays at tied for sixth place after the second round of the NCAA Cle Elum Regional Tuesday afternoon after shooting 298(+10).
The low six teams and three individuals not on those teams from each regional will advance to the NCAA National Championship.
After a slow start on the front nine, the Knights made adjustments and was dominant on the back nine.
Ana Laura Collado remains near the top of the leaderboard in second place overall after shooting 72(E) in the second round for a 138(-6) two-day score.
Maria Balcazar shot 70(-2) after collecting two birdies and an eagle on the back nine. The junior will enter the final round 146(+2) and in the top 20 overall.
Elizabeth Moon and Alyssa Lamoureux are both tied with a 152(+8) after Moon shot 77(+5), while Lamoureux shot a 79(+7).
Chinatsu Kobayashi finished the second round with a an 81(+9).
As a team, the Knights tallied eight birdies on the day and 22 for the two days. UCF is among the best in the field at par fives and improved their average score from day one to 4.78(-11) on all par fives.

The Knights will tee off Wednesday at 11:30a.m. ET for the final round of the NCAA Regional.
