ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – In the final week of play in the American Athletic Conference, Alea White has earned her fourth Pitcher of the Week honor announced Monday.

White started two games and picked up a save in the Knights’ four-game win week to close out the regular season. In her save against North Florida, White tossed 2.2 innings and did not allow a hit in her outing.
In her two wins, White threw a combined 14 innings giving up just two earned runs, while striking out 16. White walked only three in her 16.2 total innings of work and did not give up any walks in her second start against the Tigers.
For the week, White recorded a 0.84 earned run average to improve her season ERA to 1.59 overall and a 1.45 ERA in conference games. The Land O’Lakes native kept opponents to a .195 batting average as she prepares for The American Tournament.
With her impressive weekend, White continues to move up in the record books for UCF. With her 437 career strikeouts, White is no fifth all-time in program history in most strikeouts. After making two start over the weekend, White now has 97 career start putting her fourth all-time just behind Hall of Famer, Allison Kime.
