FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women’s golf team wrapped up the second round of the 2019 Division I Women’s Golf National Championships Sunday afternoon after play was suspended Saturday.
UCF is in 20th place heading into the final round of stroke play after shooting 308(+16), an 11 stoke improvement from the first round.
Elizabeth Moon led the Knights with a 71(-2) and moved up 44 spots on the leaderboard and is tied for 23rd overall. After two days, Moon is just five-over par. On Sunday, Moon was even on the back nine and was two-under on the front nine with two birdies and seven pars.
Ana Laura Collado shot a 77(+4) after an impressive round on the back nine, while Alyssa Lamoureux was just behind Collado with a 78(+5).
Chinatsu Kobayashi finished with an 82(+9), while Maria Balcazar shot an 84(+11).
As a team, the Knights collected 14 birdies as they are ahead of No. 5 Kent State, No 8. Vanderbilt, Indiana, and No. 36 Tennessee.
The Knights will tee off at 8 a.m. ET Monday morning for the final round of stroke play.
