Tate and Bai Earn All-Conference Honors

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com)Kyler Tate and Bobby Bai reeled in American Athletic Conference All-Conference honors announced Friday afternoon.

Both Tate and Bai were unanimous selections.

Tate earned all-conference honors for the second-consecutive season after finishing fourth overall at The American Championship. The Winter Garden, Fla., native had five top-five finishes this season with two second place finishes at the Jackrabbit Invite and FAU Spring Championship.

Tate ranks second on the team with a 71.8 scoring average after competing in all 10 team events during his senior year.

Bai paced the Knights in scoring average with a 70.9 after wrapping up the regular season at The American Championship with a 213(E) over 54 holes to finish in seventh place.

The all-conference accolade is Bai’s third consecutive honor. Bai took first in two tournaments this season including the first one at the Hartford Hawks Invitational then another at the FAU Spring Championship.

The Knights rounded out the regular season with a third-place finish at The American Championship in Palm Harbor, Fla., shooting 865.

Tate and Bai will await their fate after the NCAA Men’s Golf Selection Show on Wednesday, May 1 at 9 p.m. to determine whether they qualify as individuals for an NCAA Regional. The selection show will air live on The Golf Channel.
