ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) –Jermaine Taylor is set to return to the BIG 3 after getting drafted in Round 2 of the 2019 BIG 3 Draft late Wednesday night. Taylor was picked 19th overall and will play for the second straight season with the Ball Hogs.
Taylor will play alongside Brian Scalabrine, Josh Childress, DeShawn Stevenson, Will McDonald and Dusan Bulut on the Ball Hogs. The 3-on-3 team is coached by the legendary Rick Barry.
Last season Taylor shined, ranking seventh in the league with 11.6 points per game, third in three-pointers made, fifth in total steals and seventh in three-point field goal percentage.
This season’s competition is set to begin June 22 and will take place on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer. Games are televised live on CBS and CBS Sports Network.
Following his memorable career with the Knights, Taylor was drafted with the 32nd overall pick in the Second Round of the 2009 NBA Draft. He played in the NBA, the G League and overseas from 2009 to 2018.
At UCF, Taylor finished as the program’s all-time Division I leader with 1,979 points scored, averaging 26.2 points per game as a senior. He was an Associated Press Honorable Mention All-American and the Conference USA Player of the Year in 2009.
