ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men’s tennis team checks into the latest Oracle/ITA team ranking at No. 32.
The Knights haven’t seen match action since the last release of the rankings on April 2. Their last match was a 7-0 win over FAU on March 31. The win was good enough to propel the Knights to tie their highest ranking in program history at No. 28.
Gabriel Decamps was ranked No. 34 prior to this week, and now sits at No. 32. Decamps is 6-6 at the top singles spot this season with one of those wins coming against a top 10 opponent earlier in the season.
UCF’s dynamic duo consisting of Trey Hilderbrand and Bogdan Pavel jumped 34 spots to No. 20 last week and check in at No. 24 this week. The two have played exclusively at the top doubles spot in the lineup and have earned an 11-3 record so far this season. They have defeated four of the five ranked opponents they’ve faced, probably a reason why they climbed the rankings so quickly.
UP NEXT
The Knights will travel to No. 44 USF for the War On I-4 on Sunday to take on the Bulls at 1:30 p.m. Heading into the weekend, UCF leads the War On I-4 series by a count of 43-8. The Knights have already clinched the series and have won the War On I-4 for the third consecutive season, which is how long the series has officially been around.
