Knights Cap Off Tourney Seven-Under Par

AUGUSTA, Ga. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men’s golf team capped off the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational with the third best round off all teams with a 281(-7) Sunday afternoon to move up four spots from Saturday’s rounds to finish in 9th place with a three-round total of 862(-2).

The Knights picked up another win against a fellow American Athletic Conference rival beating Houston, who finished two strokes behind UCF. UCF improves to 6-1 against The American teams this year. The Knights also finished ahead of Virginia Tech, No. 24 South Carolina-Aiken, Northern Illinois, Georgia State, and Air Force.

Tommy Cao led the Knights with a 66(-6) to finish with a 211(-5) overall also setting his new career-best 18-hole finish. Kyler Tate was just behind Cao with a 71(-1) on the day and a 215(-1) over the three rounds. Cao finished tied for 10th overall.

Bobby Bai rounded out the tournament with a 72(E) on the final round for a216(E) overall, while Clement Charmasson shot a 220(+4) over 54-holes after he shot a 72(E) on Sunday.

Pedro Lencart Silva finished his first trip to the Invitational with a 74(+2) for the third round and 234(+18) overall.

As a team, the Knights collected 47 birdies, 167 pars, and eagled twice on the final round. Sunday was the best overall day for UCF with 18 birdies
