Bai Named Golfer of the Week

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – After his program-record performance at the FAU Spring Championship, the American Athletic Conference has named Bobby Bai Golfer of the Week announced Wednesday.

Bai finished first overall on Sunday to earn his second win of the year and third overall in his career. Bai tied the program record for best 54-hole finish with a 200(-16). The junior shot rounds of 67-67-66 and led the field for the final two rounds.

Over three rounds, Bai tallied 20 birdies, 31 pars, and just three bogeys to grab the win. The Shantou, China native won the tournament with four strokes to spare as teammate Kyler Tate finished second with a 204(-12).

Bai led the Knights to their second tournament win and a program-record final round shooting 268(-20) along with the program’s second-best 54-hole finish with an 829(-35).

With three career-wins, Bai is now tied for fourth in all-time wins.

This is Bai’s first Golfer of the Week honor this season and second of his career.
