ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – On Monday evening, the No. 29 UCF men’s tennis team will look to extend their season when the NCAA Tournament selection show airs at 6 p.m. There will be a watch party at the Burger-U located on the campus of UCF beginning around 5:45 p.m. and going until 7 p.m.
The Knights fell in their last match against the No. 37 USF Bulls in the American Athletic Conference championship. Had UCF won the match, they would have secured an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
UCF will be searching for their second at-large berth into the NCAA tournament, their last coming in 2017. The Knights have never won an NCAA tournament match in their four trips to the dance.
The Black and Gold just missed the tournament last season as they were one of the first four teams out. UCF has been to the tournament in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2017.
Both the men's and women's tennis selection shows will air during the watch party. The men are first at 6:00 with the women following at 6:30.
