UCF Heads to Lake Wheeler Invitational

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF rowing team is back in action this weekend, heading to Raleigh for the Lake Wheeler Invitational.

The Knights join eight other teams for the two-day event on Lake Wheeler, co-hosted by Duke and North Carolina.

Friday’s heats begin at 2:30 p.m. Saturday’s semifinals begin at 7:30 a.m. and the finals will start at 11:30 a.m.

UCF will officially return to racing for the first time since the Sunshine State Invite April 5-6. Inclement weather and course conditions forced last weekend’s Clemson Invitational to be cancelled with no official results recorded.

The Black and Gold join No. 17 Duke, RV Michigan State, Clemson, Georgetown, Miami, Navy, North Carolina and Temple.

The Lake Wheeler Invitational will be the final regatta for the Knights before they look to defend their American Athletic Conference title on May 19.
