ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF track and field team heads to the Tom Jones Memorial for one final tune-up before the American Athletic Conference Championship.
The two-day meet begins Friday at Percy Beard Track at James G. Pressly Stadium. Field events begin at 3 p.m., while races on the track begin at 7 pm. A full schedule can be found here.
Saturday’s field events begin at 10 a.m. while track action starts at 1 p.m. Saturday’s races will stream on the SEC Network+ on Watch ESPN.
The Knights return to Gainesville for the second time this season after competing at the Pepsi Florida Relays at James G. Pressly Stadium in the final weekend of March.
Nationally, UCF is making strides. As a group, the 100m squad is ranked 12th on the USTFCCCA Event Squad rankings while the 200m group holds the No. 16 spot. The Black and Gold rank 21st in the hammer throw and 25th in the shot put.
UCF is also well-represented on the American Athletic Conference performance list, boasting top 10 marks in 13 different events. Five of those feature multiple Knights among the top 10 marks. UCF holds the top mark in the 4x100 relay.
