Knights Play Too Lights Out on Friday

WICHITA, Kan. (UCFKnights.com) - For the second time this season, the UCF baseball team will have to close out a game the next morning. Leading 10-2 in the seventh inning on Friday night in game two of the weekend series at Wichita State, the Knights had play suspended due to an issue with the lighting system.

The game will resume at 10 a.m. ET in the top of the seventh with Dallas Beaver at the plate with no outs.

Chris Williams turned in another quality start for the Black and Gold. The righty went through six innings with seven strikeouts. He scattered six hits and allowed just two runs, one earned, on the night.

UCF took the lead in the fifth on a solo home run by Chandler Robertson. After the Shockers pulled a run back in the bottom of the fifth, the Knights exploded for a seven-run seventh, including a grand slam by Matthew Mika.
