UCF to Face Tulsa for 3rd Time in AAC Semis

SCHEDULE UPDATE
Friday's semifinal was pushed to Saturday due to weather.

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The No. 25 UCF women's tennis team is set to take on the No. 4 seeded Tulsa Golden Hurricane tomorrow in the American Athletic Conference championship tournament at 2 p.m. This will be the third time that UCF and Tulsa meet this season.

UCF has been victorious in the prior two meetings of the season, winning 4-1 during ITA Kickoff Weekend and later defeating Tulsa 6-1 as the season was dwindling. Both teams were ranked in the first matchup as the Knights were No. 22 and Tulsa was ranked No. 23.

The two previous matches shaped up a little differently, with some shuffling of the lineups, as one match was very early in the season while the other somewhat closer to the end. Based on the lineup Tulsa used today in the quarterfinals, the matchups might be the exact same for both sides in tomorrow's showdown.

Prior to this season, the Knights had not beaten Tulsa. In fact, Tulsa has eliminated the Knights from four postseason tournaments in the last 12 years. UCF looks to avoid repeating history as they've been breaking records and defying the odds all season long.
