ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF softball team dropped the final game in the War On I-4 series Sunday afternoon, 3-0.
The Knights compiled seven hits with three errors in the game, while South Florida also recorded seven hits.
Alea White took the loss giving up six hits, three runs, and walking two. White moves to 20-9 on the season.
Cassady Brewer led the way for the Knights at the plate going 2-for-3 with a walk, while Denali Schappacher, Tamesha Glover, Aubrey Johnson, and Kendyl Lange each recorded a hit.
UCF drew five walks in the outing and stole a pair of bases thanks to Takiya London and Brooke Barlow.
The Knights are now 28-14 overall and 7-5 in American Athletic Conference play.
Scoring:
USF: 3-0 | 5th | Back-to-back home runs from the Bulls gave them the lead for the third-straight day. Then a pair of errors put a Bull on third base and a sacrifice fly score another run.
ON DECK
The Knights hit the road to Tulsa for a three-game series starting Thursday, April 18.
