ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) –UCF’s BJ Taylor has been selected to the 3-Point Championship roster for the 31st annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships at Minneapolis’ Target Center on Thursday, April 4, Intersport announced.
Taylor is one of eight men’s college basketball players selected for the event that will air live on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET. He was invited to take part in the 3-Point Championship after being recognized as one of the nation’s finest shooters.
The Orlando native led UCF with 15.9 points per game, shooting 37.2 percent from three-point range with 61 makes beyond the arc as a senior. Taylor finished his career seventh all-time in program history with 1,618 points and is sixth in the UCF record books with 180 total made threes.
Over the last 30 years, several top players in college basketball have competed in the College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships including Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Jason Terry, Kyle Korver, Bobby Hurley, Michael Finley and Allan Houston.
