AUGUSTA, Ga. (UCFKnights.com) – After the first two rounds of the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational, the UCF men’s golf team sits in 13th place overall in an extremely competitive field. The Knights shot a two-round total of 581(+5).
UCF rounded out the first day ahead of Georgia State and Air Force and is just one stroke back from Northern Illinois.
UCF wrapped up the first round in 10th with a score of 287(-1).
In the first 18, Bobby Bai led the Knights and shot three-under par with a 69. Bai ended the first round tied for 11th place overall after collecting four birdies.
Clement Charmasson also shot under par with a 71(-1) tallying four birdies, while Tommy Cao was just behind Charmasson and finished the first round even par.
Kyler Tate wrapped up the first round three-over par with a 75 and Pedro Lencart Silva shot an 81(+9).
In the second round, Tate picked up his first round to come back with a nice round of 69(-3) to end the first day with even par. Bai also finished the first day at even par after he shot 75(+3) in the second round.
Cao is just behind Tate and Bai after he shot 73(+1) in round two for a two-round total of 145(+1).
Charmasson recorded a 77(+5) on the second round and will start the third round four-over par, while Lencart Silva is 16-over par.
As a team, the Knights collected 113 pars and 29 birdies in the first two rounds.
