BOCA RATON, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men’s golf team wrapped up the second round of the FAU Spring Championship in first place after shooting a 275(-13) on the day for a two-day total of 516(-15).
Bobby Bai shot another round of 67(-5) to bring his total to 134(-10) as he remains in first overall for the second-straight day.
Kyler Tate moved into second place overall after shooting 67(-5) for a two-day total of 137(-7). Tate strung together three-straight birdies to start the back nine to help move up four spots going into the final round.
Clement Charmasson improved his score from day one after recording a 69(-3) in the second round. He is currently tied for 21st place with a 144(E).
Tommy Cao shot even par at 72(E) to bring his total to 146(+2), while Pedro Lencart Silva also shot par Saturday for a 149(+5) total heading into the final round.
Individually, Colin Kresl moved up 26 spots to 16th place after recording a 68(-4) Saturday for a 143(-1) total.
As a team, the Knights tallied 29 birdies Saturday for 43 total, which leads all teams heading into Sunday. After two days, the Knights are shooting 14-under on all par fours and Bai paces the field with the best par-four shooting averaging 3.65(-7) per par-four.
