ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The Knights secured the series win against Louisiana Tech Saturday evening at the UCF Softball Complex with a 5-2 win over the Lady Techsters.
UCF tallied seven hits, five runs, and a pair of doubles in the win and limited LA Tech to seven hits and two unearned runs.
Seven Knights recorded hits in the win as Aubrey Johnson and Tera Testa each recorded a double.
Alea White notched another win as she improves to 7-4 on the season after throwing 3.2 innings allowing three hits, no runs, and one strikeout.
UCF improves to 12-5 overall on the season.

- In their last two home tournaments, the Knights are 8-0 and hitting .301 as a team.
- UCF has collected 30 doubles through 17 games after hitting 52 last season.
- After three games in the UCF Invitational, Jazmine Esparza paces the Knights with four hits and a .400 batting average.
- Tamesha Glover and Erin Emanuel each have three hits in the UCF Invite, while Aubrey Johnson and Denali Schappacher each have a pair.
- Breanna Vasquez’s no earned runs streak improves to 37.2 innings. UCF’s record is currently 49.2 innings straight without an earned run held by Alison Kime in 2007.
- Vasquez got the start in the game tossing 3.1 innings with four hits, no earned runs, and a strikeout.
Scoring:
UCF: 4-0 | 2nd | Aubrey Johnson hammered a double off the left field wall and scored after Karissa Ornelas singled up the middle. Erin Emanuel followed with a single and moved around the bases thanks to a Denali Schappacher single to left field. Tamesha Glover snuck a single through the right side to plate Erin Emanuel.
TECH: 2-4| 4th | A UCF error with runners on second and third brought in a pair for LA Tech.
UCF: 5-2 | 4th | With Tera Testa on third, an error by LA Tech at third base plated Testa.
ON DECK
The Knights will battle No. 1 Florida State on Sunday at 2:30pm to close out the UCF Invitational.
