Knights Jump to #21 in Rankings

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The Knights jumped five spots to No. 21 in the Oracle/ITA rankings on Tuesday.

Once again this season, UCF has done nothing but win since the last rankings release on March 19, going 2-0 this weekend. The Knights defeated Tulsa on Friday for the second time this season. Tulsa was ranked in the two team’s first meeting back in January. That made UCF 5-0 in conference play with just the War on I-4 left with USF.

The Knights have three players on 11-match winning streaks in singles. They are Natalia Serrano (12-1), Nandini Sharma (13-1) and Rebeka Stolmar (12-3).

Sunday saw UCF defeat their fifth ranked opponent of the season as they toppled No. 34 Illinois in a 4-1 decision, arguably one of UCF’s best wins thus far.

The Black and Gold only has a trio of games remaining in the regular season. They’ll visit FIU and Oklahoma State before returning home for the regular season finale against USF.

UP NEXT
The Knights will hit the road and head down to FIU for a match on Sunday at 1 p.m. This will be UCF’s first match away from home since the ITA Kickoff Weekend on the final weekend of January.
