Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men’s golf team wrapped up the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular Sunday taking second place with a third-round score of 292, for a 54-hole score of 861(-3).
Senior Kyler Tate finished tied for second overall with a 54-hole score of 210(-6) including a 71(-1) on Sunday. Tate finished tied for second with Bobby Bai, who shot 73(+1) on Sunday.
UCF beat 16 other teams including Illinois State, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Cincinnati. With the win over Cincinnati, the Knights have just one loss all year to a fellow American Athletic Conference opponent. The Knights have beat Wichita State, UConn, and Cincinnati thus far.
Freshman Clement Charmasson posted a strong three-round total of 216(E) after 73(+1) on Sunday.
Tommy Cao and Pedro Lencart Silva finished with 228(+120 and 232(+16) respectively in the tournament.
Competing individually, Colin Kresl shot a 79(+7) on day three, while Jalen Ledger posted a 76(+4).
The squad tallied 46 birdies and 167 pars to cap off the Spring Spectacular. This is UCF’s third top two finish this season.
