Dawkins Named Man of the Year Award Finalist

BOSTON (UCFKnights.com) – The finalists for the 2019 Skip Prosser Man of the Year award have been announced and UCF's Johnny Dawkins is among them.

Named after the late Skip Prosser, who died suddenly in 2007 while the head coach at Wake Forest, the award is presented annually to those who not only achieve success on the basketball court but who also display moral integrity off of it as well.

In his three seasons at UCF, Dawkins has led the Knights to 66 wins and one trip to the NIT Final Four. In 2018-19, he has led UCF to a school record 23 regular season victories, the four seed in the American Athletic Conference Championship and a chance at the program's first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2005.

The recipient of the 2019 Skip Prosser award will be announced on April 5 at the College Insider Awards Event, in Minneapolis, site of the 2019 NCAA division I basketball championship.
