ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men’s tennis team heads to the Midwest this weekend to take on Indiana and No. 24 Michigan. Friday will see the Knights face Indiana at 6 p.m. before the Black and Gold pays a visit to Michigan on Sunday at noon.
The Knights are coming off a tough match against the fourth ranked Florida Gators. No. 31 Gabriel Decamps was the only Knight to register a point on the match as the Knights lost 6-1. Decamps defeated the ninth ranked player in the nation in three sets and looks to ride that momentum into this weekend.
Indiana has begun their 2019 with a 4-2 record. They were on a two match skid, losing Dartmouth College and No. 7 UCLA. They have since turned things around, beating Ole Miss 4-2 before edging Middle Tennessee in a tight 4-3 match.
Michigan comes in to Sunday’s match having already faced some of the nations best. They dropped their matches with No. 22 Alabama and No. 11 Baylor, but recently triumphed over No. 18 Oklahoma. Michigan currently sits at 3-2 on the season and will play Washington on Friday before taking on UCF on Sunday.
