ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF Softball team continues their homestand as they host Louisiana Tech on Wednesday, February 27 at 5pm for the second of three games between the Knights and Lady Techsters.
The match will be streamed live on UCFKnights.TV and live stats will also be available via statbroadcast.
The Knights head into the match with an overall record of 9-4 after and are on a six-game win streak. UCF is coming off a five-game sweep at the Knights Classic last weekend where Alea White threw her first career no-hitter on Friday against Coastal Carolina.
THE OPPONENT
- LA Tech holds a 12-3 record after playing a pair of games in the Knights Classic.
- The Lady Techsters are receiving votes in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll.
- In the first meeting with LA Tech, UCF was down 2-0 heading into the fifth inning, but a five-run inning for the Knights secured their victory.
- UCF and LA Tech will meet three times this season, which will be the first three games between the two teams in program history.
- LA Tech was picked to the C-USA this season and are currently atop their conference standings.

Alea White was named Pitcher of the Week this week by the American Athletic Conference after recording a 3-0 record last weekend including a no-hitter. She collected 23 strikeouts and allowed just two earned runs for a 0.64 earned run average. - She’s Brewin’
Senior Cassady Brewer earned honor roll accolades this week by The American for her performance at the Knights Classic. Brewer collected three doubles and drove in six RBI as part of her weekend and started a rally against Penn State in the sixth inning on Saturday as the Knights came back to win 3-2 in eight innings. Two of her three doubles came with the bases loaded. - Streakinggggg
With the 5-0 sweep of the weekend, UCF is on a six-game winning streak. Their 9-4 record is the best 13-game start since 2015. - Climbing the Ladder
With her no-hitter last weekend, White moved into 5th all-time in total wins in program history with 48. - California Love
Freshman pitcher Breanna Vasquez is off to a hot start in the circle to begin her collegiate career. She has won three consecutive games including Power 6 opponent, Pitt. Vasquez picked up the win over then 11-2 LA Tech striking out six and allowing just four hits.
