ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) –Less than two weeks after defeating SMU in Dallas, the UCF men’s basketball team (19-6, 9-4) is set to host the Mustangs (13-12, 5-8) on Sunday, aiming to complete the season sweep at noon on CBS Sports Network.

With five regular season games remaining, the Knights need to finish strong starting with Sunday’s matchup. UCF has the opportunity to build on its NCAA Tournament resume with games against SMU, USF, Houston, Cincinnati and Temple still to play.
The final stretch starts with an SMU team that is coming off of a home win over UConn on Thursday. Prior to that the Mustangs had lost five in a row, including dropping one to Temple immediately after falling to the Knights.
SMU leads the all-time series against UCF, 11-8, but the Knights have won the last two meetings. In addition to winning at SMU earlier this season, the last time the two teams met in Orlando, the Knights won 52-37, tying a program record for least points allowed.

- SMU has won two American Athletic Conference Championships since 2013-14.
- The Mustangs defeated Georgetown in non-conference play earlier this season.
- UCF is 13-2 at home this season.
- The Knights are a perfect 19-0 when leading with two minutes to go in the game.
- Tacko Fall has successfully won all 25 tipoffs this season and each of the last 29 dating back to last year.
- Aubrey Dawkins led the Knights with 18 points in the loss at Cincinnati and has scored in double figures in 23 of 25 games at UCF.
- The Knights lead The American with at 46.8 team field goal percentage.
- A win would make UCF 20-6, the program’s third 20-win season in the last three years.
- At 9-4 in league play, this is the best start to conference action since joining The American.
