UCF Concludes Gator Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men’s golf team concluded their first spring tournament in seventh place at the Gator Invitational Sunday afternoon.

Tommy Cao led the team in the final round with a 69(-1) to finish tied for 43rd with a 283 total.

Overall, Kyler Tate was the best finisher for UCF finishing tied for 26th after shooting 74(+4) in the final round and 214 to end the tournament.

Bobby Bai finished just behind Tate with a 215 overall and a 72(+2) in the third round, while Clement Charmasson shot a 73(+3) to round out the day for a 216 total.

Individually, Jalen Ledger shot a 213, including a 72(+2) day three total. Ledger was the fourth best individual finisher.

As a team, the Knights tallied up 30 birdies and was second-best in total pars with 177. UCF’s good par-five play continued to Sunday as they finished up the tournament with a 4.82(-8) stroke average on par fives.

UCF finished ahead of No. 38 West Virginia and No. 41 Georgia Southern along with Mississippi State and Michigan.
