A win on Saturday would match UCF’s overall and conference win total from a season ago with six regular season games still remaining. The Knights (18-5, 8-3) are out to the program’s best 23-game start since the 2003-04 campaign.

Winning its third straight game to remain in third place in the American Athletic Conference standings will have to come against a team in Memphis that handed UCF’s its largest defeat of 2018-19. The Tigers took down the Knights 77-57 back on Jan. 27 at FedEx Forum.

On Saturday, the Knights will take on the Tigers from the comforts of home, where they have a 12-2 record this season. Most recently, UCF defeated rival South Florida 78-65 on Wednesday to extend its streak of wins over the Bulls to seven.

Prior to the January loss in Bluff City, the Knights had enjoyed a similar winning streak against the Tigers. UCF had won four straight over Memphis, including both games of the home-and-home series a year ago.

  • Memphis holds a 22-5 advantage in the all-time series.
  • In Orlando, the Tigers have won seven out of 10 games in the series.
  • UCF is a perfect 18-0 when leading with two minutes to go in the game.
  • Tacko Fall has successfully won all 23 tipoffs this season and each of the last 27 dating back to last year.
  • Fall scored a season-high 21 points and set a UCF record with 21 free throw attempts in the win over South Florida.
  • Aubrey Dawkins was named to The American’s Weekly Honor Roll after scoring a season-high 26 points at SMU on Sunday.
  • The Knights lead The American in field goal percentage with a mark of 47.1 percent and have shot over 50 percent in their current two-game win streak.
  • A win would make UCF 19-5, the program’s best 24-game start since the 2003-04 season.
  • The Tigers’ Jeremiah Martin leads the team in scoring with 17.1 points per game and scored 41 points in a half earlier this season.
  • Former NBA All-Star with the Orlando Magic Penny Hardaway is in his first season as head coach of Memphis.
