Knights Move Up to #21 in Latest Rankings

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women’s tennis team moved up to No. 21 in the nation in Wednesday’s release of the ORACLE/ITA rankings. This is two spots higher than they were in the previous team rankings.

The Knights have only played one match since the previous rankings were released back on Jan. 30. In that lone match, UCF performed well against Baylor and went on to win the match 6-1.

Since then, the Knights have seen their top doubles pair of Valeriya Zeleva and Ksenia Kuznetsova ranked at No. 16 while Zeleva sits at No. 34 in singles play.

UCF has won two consecutive matches, downing No. 23 Tulsa and Baylor consecutively. The Knights have a chance to make it four straight wins this weekend as they visit Alabama and Ole Miss.

UP NEXT
The Black and Gold will visit the 8-0 Alabama Crimson Tide on Friday at 6 p.m. Following Friday’s match, the Knights will travel to Ole Miss to take on the Rebels at noon.
