The Knights (14-3, 4-1) kept themselves among the top teams in the American Athletic Conference with just one loss in league play by coming back from a 15-point first half deficit to defeat the Golden Hurricane 64-62 at CFE Arena on Saturday.

UCF is receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll and projected to earn an at-large berth in most NCAA Tournament Bracket projections. To keep the momentum going, the Knights will have to win a true road game for just the second time this year.

Winners of four games away from home, the Knights earned three victories in the neutral site Myrtle Beach Invitational. Of its three true road games this season, UCF has lost two, at Missouri and at Wichita State. The good news is that the one road win was against a good opponent in a tough environment, a triumph over UConn, the program’s first in the state of Connecticut.

Tulane (4-13, 0-5), meanwhile, will be looking to take advantage of the Knights to earn their first win in conference play this season. The Green Wave have earned their four wins over Coastal Carolina, South Dakota State, UT Martin and Texas Southern, but haven’t come out on top since Dec. 17.
