Knights Return Home to Host Tulsa

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) –Following a road loss at Wichita State, the UCF men’s basketball team aims to get back to its winning ways Saturday against Tulsa. The Knights and the Golden Hurricane are set to tip-off from CFE Arena at noon.

The Knights (13-3, 3-1) went on the road Wednesday and were handed their first defeat since falling at Missouri back on Dec. 2. UCF dropped its first American Athletic Conference game of the season and looks to rebound at home on Saturday.


Aubrey Dawkins again led the way for the Knights in Kansas, scoring 22 points on 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. The junior guard has averaged 21.0 points per game over the Knights’ last three games and has scored in double figures in all 16 contests.


Tulsa (12-6, 2-3) comes to Orlando having just won at home against UConn. The Golden Hurricane also defeated USF earlier this season and have lost to Houston, SMU and Cincinnati in league play. In non-conference action, Tulsa picked up wins over Oklahoma State and Kansas State.


The Hurricane leads the all-time series against UCF 13-7, but the Knights hold a 7-3 advantage in games played in Orlando. Tulsa has had the momentum recently, winning five of the last six games between the two teams, including the only matchup last season.

  • Tacko Fall leads the league with a 78.7 field goal percentage and 3.1 blocked shots per game.
  • BJ Taylor is 13th in the nation with 103 free throws made on the season.
  • Aubrey Dawkins now ranks ninth in the league with 16.3 points per game.
