- UCF picked up more votes in both the AP Top 25 and the USA Today/WBCA Top 25 polls this week.
- Kay Kay Wright earned her first career American Athletic Conference Player of the Week honor on Monday, averaging 22.5 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 3.5 SPG and 2.5 APG to help UCF go 2-0 last week.
- The Knights bring a four-game win streak into Wednesday’s match and are 3-0 in league play for the second straight campaign.
- Wright has scored in double figures in all 16 games and is UCF’s leading scorer with 19.3 points per game.
- The Orlando native moved into a tie for fifth all-time at UCF with 327 career assists.
- UCF’s leading rebounder is Nyala Shuler with 7.7 boards per contest. She ranks fifth all-time in career rebounds this season with 743 rebounds and moved into the career top 10 with 73 blocks.
- Kayla Thigpen has scored in double figures in four of the last six games, including a career-best 20 points at Memphis, and is UCF’s second leading scorer on the season at 9.0 points per game.

- For the second straight week, UCF is receiving votes in both the AP Top 25 and the USA Today/WBCA Top 25.
- The Knights earned a program-best 17 votes in the Jan. 15 coaches poll and collected four points in the AP Top 25.
- After appearing in the receiving votes section of the USA Today/WBCA Preseason Top 25 poll on Nov. 1, UCF has now received votes in 10 consecutive ranking releases.
- Based on the information available to the UCF Athletics Communications office, UCF received a vote in the national coaches poll for the first time in program history on Feb. 27, 2018 and made the program’s AP debut on Jan. 7.
Scouting the Opponents
- UCF and Tulsa meet for the 17th time on the hardwood. The Knights hold a 9-7 lead the all-time series, and a slight 4-3 advantage since the programs have met in The American.
- Tulsa is 9-7 overall this season and are one of four squads still unbeaten in The American at 3-0.
- Two members of Tulsa’s squad are averaging double figures, led by Crystal Polk’s 14.0 points per game. Polk also pulls down a team-leading 7.8 rebounds per contest and has nine blocks.
- Alexis Gaulden averages 12.9 points per game and has a team-leading 71 assists for Tulsa. Rebecca Lescay has collected a team-high 26 steals.
Next up, UCFrounds out its homestand on Saturday, hosting SMU. Part of a doubleheader, the teams will tip at 2 p.m. in CFE Arena.
