ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – Greg Eason, a 2014 UCF men’s golf alumnus, earned his PGA Tour Latin America Card last weekend after finishing 11th at the PTLA Qualifying Tournament in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., at Mission Inn Resort and Club.
Eason finished with a four-round score of 283(-5) after shooting 69(-3) in the final round to secure his PTLA Card for 2019.
The Howey-in-the-Hills qualifying tournament was one of four locations and the only one in the United States. At each of the Qualifying Tournament venues, PGA TOUR Latinoamérica awarded membership to the top-35 finishers and those tied for 35th.
The PTLA tour will run from March through December.
Eason golfed for UCF from 2010-2014 and accumulated seven individual wins, which remains the record for the most career victories in program history. Eason also still holds the program record for lowest single-season stroke average of 70.21.
