Sophomore wide receiver Gabriel Davis and redshirt sophomore defensive back Brandon Moore made a pact when they were students at Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida.
As they watched classmates and teammates make choices that result in negative consequences — in some cases jail time — they vowed they’d walk a different path in life.
Not just for themselves, but for their families.
“As this year went on, [Gabe would] say, ‘Remember our goal. Our goal isn’t just to go to college and make plays. We’re really trying to provide for our family,’ ” Moore said.
The two shared their journeys in the latest segment of the UCFiesta Fix from Arizona as the No. 7 UCF football team prepares for the 2019 PlayStation Fiesta Bowl.
