The UCF football team had a busy first full day in Arizona on Friday, complete with practice, a press conference and a team-bonding event at Topgolf.
Defensive coordinator Randy Shannon along with several defensive players addressed the media about what they’ve been focusing on as they prepare for the Jan. 1 showdown with LSU.
“We talk about it in the defensive room that we need to start aggressive, getting off the ball and making plays,” redshirt senior defensive lineman Joey Connors said. “So, I definitely think it’s going to be important to start fast.”
Later, the team debated who is the real pro of Topgolf amid some friendly competition at the driving range.
“Just being here with my brothers is a real good experience, being able to get out and do things like this before the big game,” quarterback Darriel Mack Jr. said.
