ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) –Following a decisive home victory on Saturday, the UCF men’s basketball returns to action Tuesday night against Georgia Southern. The Knights and the Eagles are scheduled to tip-off at 7 p.m. with coverage on ESPN3 and FM 96.9 The Game.

The Knights (7-2), who have lost two games by a combined three points, got back in the win column on Saturday, defeating Grambling 70-45 at CFE Arena. UCF held the Tigers to 29.3 percent shooting from the field and just 18.8 percent from three-point range.
On Tuesday, the Knights aim to improve their 2018-19 record to 8-2, which would be the program’s best start since the 2011-12 campaign. UCF is 4-1 at CFE Arena this season, winning its last three home games.
The Eagles (6-2) come to town after getting a rebound win themselves. Georgia Southern won 89-74 at Mercer on Saturday. After five wins to start the season, the Eagles dropped two in a row to ETSU and Arizona, before beating the Bears.
NOTES TO KNOW
- A win would give UCF a 4-1 advantage in the all-time series against Georgia Southern.
- The Knights haven’t allowed more than 64 points in any of their last seven games.
- UCF ranks 11th in the nation in field goal percentage defense and 20th in scoring defense.
- Terrell Allen ranks fourth in the nation with a 5.4 assist-to-turnover ratio.
- Tacko Fall leads The American with a 77 percent field goal percentage and 3.3 blocked shots per game.
- Fall also ranks fifth in the nation in blocks and needs just three more to set a new UCF program record, passing Keith Clanton (227).
- Aubrey Dawkins has scored in double figures in each of his first nine games as a Knight, the first player to do so in UCF’s Division I era.
- Johnny Dawkins earned his 50th win at UCF on Saturday, becoming the fastest UCF head coach to win 50 games in the Knights’ Division I era.
