Head Coach Todd Dagenais
On the challenges FGCU posed…
I wish them the best of luck as they move forward in the tournament. They can give Florida a great run for their money and don't be surprised if they pull off an upset because I think they're pretty good. I wasn't kidding when I said they're a top 50 team put four top 50 teams together, anything can happen. When it comes down to it, all year long we've been a little bit better, a little bit this, and a little bit that, but this time we fell short.
On Jordan’s work off the court…
The leadership of Jordan and the passion that Jordan provided to this team. There is the part that you all see on the court, but then there's a part that happens behind the scenes in the locker room, in the cafeteria, and the training table, and Jordan is responsible for a great deal of that. She built this team from the inside out. The legacy that she leaves behind is one of the greatest legacies this program will ever have because she helped us turn a corner.
On what he told the team post-game…
We talked about looking at the totality of the whole season all 31 matches. Where we came from and how we started all the way back off from Puerto Rico and how we continue to grow and continue to manage our team and how we got better.
Senior Libero Jordan Pingel
On taking pride in her team…
I'm proud to be a knight and I'm proud of the team that we had out there. The rest of this team a very special team and I tell them that all the time. I was honored to be the captain, libero, their grandma. I was honored to be it all.
On her last season…
It just goes too fast. Don't blink, because no one expects their season to end like this, and it's hard.
On her season overall…
There's so much more good this season than this one downfall, and I'll never forget the memories I made that my teammates. This is the best season I had, and I'm just honored to be here.
