Fanny Cnops Earns LET Card

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – UCF women’s golf alumna Fanny Cnops has earned a spot on the Ladies European Tour (LET) after an impressive showing in the Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS). This will be Cnops’ first tour card.

Cnops’ finished ninth on the Order of Merit following her maiden victory at the Lavaux Ladies Championship in June.

The Belgium native graduated from UCF in 2015 after competing for the Knights for two years after transferring from UNGC where she was a two-time SoCon Player of the Year.

While at UCF, Cnops etched her name in the record books after winning the UCF Challenge in 2015 and shooting the then lowest 54-hole score in program history with a 208. Cnops led the Knights to their 2015 American Athletic Conference Championship to cap off her stellar career.

The Ladies European Tour (LET) is headquartered at the Buckinghamshire Golf Club near London and celebrates women’s golf on a global stage. Since its formation in 1978, the Ladies European Tour has crowned 252 different winners and a total of 725 championship trophies have been lifted as players from 28 different countries have won on the Tour.

The LET operates tournaments across six continents and The Solheim Cup, which has been played 15 times biannually since 1990, has become one of the biggest female sporting events in the world. The LET Access Series is the official developmental tour and bridges the gap from amateur to professional golf, giving young players the opportunity to gain valuable competitive experience and progress onto the main professional tour.
