Knights Receiving Votes in AP, Coaches Polls

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) –After four straight wins, the UCF men’s basketball team finds itself receiving votes in both national polls this week. The Knights earned nine votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll and three votes in the AP Top 25 Poll.

UCF is now 5-1 on the season and returns to action Thursday against Alabama. The Knights and the Crimson Tide tip-off at 7 p.m. with coverage on ESPNU and FM 96.9 The Game.

With nine votes from the coaches, the Knights technically rank 38th in the USA Today Coaches Poll and with three votes rank 44th in the AP Poll.

In addition to making its way back onto a number of ballots of voters in the polls, UCF also continues to climb Andy Katz’s Top 36 Power Rankings for NCAA.com. The Knights are now 25th on the list after Saturday’s victory over previously undefeated Northern Kentucky.

The computer systems also favor the Knights early on in the 2018-19 season. UCF is as high as 22nd in the RPI rankings and are 49th in the new NET Rankings, released Monday by the NCAA.
