UCF Inks Tunrada Piddon

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women’s golf team and head coach Emily Marron announce its newest addition to the 2019-2020 roster.

A native of Thailand, Tunrada Piddon will join the Knights next fall.

“We are so excited to add Tunrada (Pat) to our UCF Family,” said Marron. “She will come in with tremendous experience from her junior career and that will help her transition quickly to college golf. Pat is a powerful player with a strong mind and will surely be part of our success for many years to come!”

Piddon began playing golf at the early age of six after watching her sister play and it was then that she started taking lessons from her father. Piddon then worked her way to become a member of the Thailand National Team where she has flourished.

She was the winner of the 2017 Kartini Cup with scores of 69-67-66-71 = 273 (-15 under par). In 2017, Piddon finished 11th overall in the Queen Sirikit Cup in China after shooting 218 after 54-holes. At the same tournament a year later, Piddon finished 13th overall when the event was held in Thailand with a three-round total of 216.

In 2016, Piddon won the PGA Junior Series with a stunning final round of 66.

While playing for Team Thailand, Piddon finished T23rd overall in the World Amateur Team Golf Championship shooting a four-day total 289 with scores of 70-67-78-74.

Piddon will be eligible to compete in the fall of 2019.
