ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) –
The UCF women’s soccer team looks to bounce back as the Knights host Cincinnati in an American Athletic Conference match on Sunday.

UCF (5-4-1, 2-1 The American) welcomes Cincinnati (6-6-2, 1-3-1 The American) for a 1 p.m. matchup at the UCF Soccer Complex.

The game will serve as the Camper Reunion Knight, welcoming our participants from the summer’s Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak’s Central Florida Girls Soccer Camp back to the UCF Soccer Complex.

Knight Notes

  • UCF saw its three-game win streak come to an end on Thursday evening. The Knights battled ECU in an overtime contest, but the Pirates were able to find the golden goal in the 91st minute.
  • Stefanie Sanders extended her team-leading goal count to eight with a marker against the Pirates.
  • Zandy Soree is second for the Knights with six goals and 14 total points on the season.
  • After recording three assists, Dina Orschmann on her first goal of the season in the win at UConn.
  • Kristen Scott has three goals in 2018, while Konya Plummer tallied her first goal as a Knight in the draw at Maryland and Jessica Taylor notched her first marker at Temple.
  • Vera Varis has started each match for the Knights, making 32 saves with a 1.40 goals-against average in 2018.

All Tied Up

  • UCF and Cincinnati will face off for the ninth time on the pitch.
  • Each team has earned a trio of victories in the all-time series, and two matches have ended in a draw.
  • The last meeting between the squads was each’s league opener last season in Cincinnati, where they played to an 0-0 tie.
  • The Bearcats hold a 2-1 advantage in the American Athletic Conference matchups, with UCF’s lone victory against Cincinnati coming during the 2013 campaign.
