Knights Recognized for Academic Excellence

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – For the third consecutive year, the UCF men’s soccer program has earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for their outstanding efforts in the classroom.

The Knights garnered a 3.224 grade point average for the 2017-18 season including a 3.250 for the fall semester when the Black and Gold are in season.

Nine student-athletes earned a 3.50 GPA or higher with C.J. Campbell leading the charge for the Knights with a 3.902 GPA.

This is the sixth time since 2009 that the Knights have received the award.

A total of 773 soccer teams (484 women, 289 men) posted a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, earning the United Soccer Coaches - formerly known as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) - Team Academic Award for the 2017-18 academic year.

UCF was one of 191 schools with both the men’s and women’s programs earning the accolade.

The Knights hit the road for an American Athletic Conference matchup with Tulsa Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.
