Eight Goals Propel Knights to Victory

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Eight goals from four different Knights made it a fun evening for UCF as they took down Jacksonville, 8-1 Tuesday at the UCF Soccer Complex.

Head Coach Scott Calabrese snagged his 100th career victory as a head coach with the win.

Cal Jennings continued to impress as he tallied two more goals and an assist in the win, while Walker Dawkins, Richard Amon, and C.J. Campbell each recorded a pair of goals.

The 25 points from UCF places the match in the UCF record books as one of the best games in UCF men’s soccer program history.

UCF outshot Jacksonville, 28-4, while also holding the advantage in corners with seven compared to the Dolphins’ three.

  • UCF | 69:15 | Campbell notched the first goal of his career of a penalty kick after the Dolphins committed a hand ball inside the 18-yard box.
  • UCF | 71:23 | Campbell wasted no time grabbing his second goal with the help of Ricardo Oliveros who sent in the ball that was initially blocked but Campbell picked up the rebound and fired in the Knights’ eighth and final goal.
