ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women’s golf team heads to their final fall tournament in Wilmington, N.C., to compete in the Landfall Tradition Oct. 26-28.
Elizabeth Moon, Maria Balcazar, Ana Laura Collado, Nicolette Donovan, and Alyssa Lamoureux will represent the Knights.
The tournament will take place at the Country Club of Landfall, which features the par-72, 6,166-yard Dye Course.
The Knights will compete with host UNCW and 16 other teams including Duke, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma State.
UCF is coming off a tournament victory at the Princess Anne Invitational in Virginia Beach. As a team, the Knights finished ahead of all teams after shooting 282(+2) in the final round for an 857(+17) three-day total.
At the Princess Anne Invite, Moon took home the individual title. The freshman shot a tournament-low 65 on Sunday including a string of birdies on the back nine to wrap up the Invite with a 203(-7) for her first collegiate win in her young career.
Through three tournaments, Moon is pacing the Knights in stroke average with 71.1 strokes per round, while Balcazar is just behind Moon averaging 73.5 strokes per round.
The Knights are set to tee off Friday morning at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.
