ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men’s soccer team moved up six spots in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll to 13, announced on Tuesday.
The Knights are also ranked 12th by Top Drawer, 14th by College Soccer News, and are 12th in the most recent RPI. USC has also ranked UCF as the second-best team in the east region.
The Black and Gold are 10-2-2 overall and 3-1-1 in the American Athletic Conference after a pair of wins over FGCU and USF last week. Cal Jennings recorded his third hat trick of the year in the win over FGCU after notching his 15th, 16, and 17th goals of the season. In the first minute of the match against USF, Jennings grabbed his 18th goal of the year.
Individually, Jennings leads the nation in shots per game with 5.23 and is second in Division I in points per game, total goals, assists, and points, along with goals per game, and game-winning goals.
As a team, UCF is top seven in all of Division I in assists per game, points per game, scoring offense, total goals, total points, and is first in shots on goal per game.
Jennings also holds The American record in single-season points and goals with two matches left in the regular season. The junior is also third in program history for most goals in a season.
