WINDERMERE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The 15th annual Tavistock Collegiate Invitational came to a close Tuesday afternoon as host UCF finished tied for 10th overall. The Knights had an impressive third day posting 20 birdies and an eagle for a total of 284(-4), which was second best out of 15 teams.
UCF tied with No. 8 Illinois and beat out No. 21 South Carolina, Washington, Augusta, and North Texas.
Bobby Bai finished in the top spot for the Knights and tied for 14th overall posting a 69(-3) on Tuesday with six birdies for a three-day total of 214(-2). Bai averaged 3.87 strokes on par fours and finished four-under on all par four holes over the three rounds.
In the third round, Clement Charmasson also posted a 69(-3) and finished with a 219(+3) after collecting a quartet of birdies in the final round.
Kyler Tate, ranked 42 on Golfstat, also finished with a 219(+3) after putting up a 73(+1) in the final round. He shot 73 all three days.
Jalen Ledger finished the Tavistock Collegiate strong with an eagle on hole seven and adding a trio of birdies to end with a 73(+1). After 54-holes, Ledger wrapped up with a 227(+11).
Pedro Lencart Silva converted four birdies on the back nine to start his day four-under, but after making the turn, the freshman ended plus-five on the front nine for a 73(+1) on the day. Lencart Silva finished with a 229(+13).
After three days, UCF compiled 42 birdies, 163 pars, and three eagles.
