ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The War On I-4 comes to the UCF Soccer Complex Saturday at 7 p.m. as No. 19 UCF hosts South Florida to wrap-up their three-game homestand.

The match will be streamed live via UCFKnights.TV and live stats will also be available.

The Knights are 9-2-2 overall and 2-1-1 in American Athletic Conference play heading into the in-state rivalry. The Black and Gold are tied for third in The American standings with seven points trailing UConn and USF with three matches left in the regular season.

UCF is on an offensive tear being ranked top seven in the country in shots per game, shots on goal per game, scoring offense, points per game, total goals, points and assists.

THE OPPONENT

  • USF holds a 5-5-2 overall record and 2-0-2 in conference play. The Bulls are currently tied for first in the conference with eight points.
  • The Bulls are on a five-game unbeaten streak. Their last loss was on Sept. 15 against FGCU.
  • USF comes to Orlando after defeating Temple, 3-2 in overtime in Tampa.
  • In the last meeting, UCF dropped last season's meeting with the Bulls in a 3-2 loss in double overtime in Tampa.
  • The overall series record between USF and UCF is 5-26-4 in favor of USF.

KNIGHTS BITES

  • MIDWEEK MAGIC: They say good things come in threes as Cal Jennings recorded his third hat trick of the season Tuesday night as No. 19 UCF defeated FGCU, 5-1 at the UCF Soccer Complex.
  • GOOD THINGS COME IN 3’S: Jennings has now recorded three hat tricks this season (Liberty, Stetson, FGCU) bringing his season total to 17 goals. The junior is tied for third for the program’s single season goal record with three games left in the regular season.
  • HE’S #1: Jennings is leading the nation in points per game with 3.17 and shots per game with 5.08. He is second in the country in total goals, points, and goals per game.
  • FEELIN’ GOOD IN FLORIDA: The Knights have netted 20 goals in four matches against Florida teams this season. The Knights face USF on Saturday for their final Florida opponent.
  • RANK THAT: UCF has won three straight matches and boasts one of the top offenses in the country breaking into the top 25 polls this week. The Knights are ranked19th by the United Soccer Coaches Poll and 24th by the Top Drawer after seven weeks of play.
  • IT’S LONELY AT THE TOP: UCF continues to dominate The American as they pace the conference in 10 categories. The Knights have controlled the offensive stats the entire season.
  • US VS. THEM: The Knights are crushing opponents with flying colors. They are outscoring opponents, 35-14, and outshooting them 252-123. UCF also holds the advantage on corner kicks, 72-47.
