Knights Set to Tee-Off Sunday

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The Knights return home for the 15th annual Tavistock Collegiate Invitational from Sunday, Oct. 21-23.

The 54-hole tournament will be played over three days at Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere, Fla. The course will be a total of 7544 yards with a par of 72.

The 15-team field features some of the top ranked programs in the nation including No. 9 Illinois, No. 10 Texas, No. 13 Vanderbilt, No. 18 Arizona State, No. 20 Auburn, No. 24 South Carolina, and No. 25 California.

Competing for the Knights will be Bobby Bai, Kyler Tate, Pedro Lencart Silva, Jalen Ledger, and Clement Charmasson.

In their last outing, UCF finished second at the Jackrabbit Invitational with a three-day score of 856(-8). Tate was the highest finisher for the Knights finishing second overall after shooting a 75 for day three. He finished six-under par with a 210 total and 17 total birdies.

Lencart Silva, Ledger, and Charmasson all finished in the top-15.

Bai returns to the Knights after finishing ninth in the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship where he was competing for a bid to the Masters.

QUALIFYING INFORMATION

  1. Bobby Bai is exempt for the 2018 Tavistock Collegiate Invitational by virtue of a win at the 2018 Hartford Hawk Invitational.
  2. Kyler Tate is exempt for the 2018 Tavistock Collegiate Invitational by virtue of a Top-15 finish at the 2018 Jackrabbit Invitational.
  3. Pedro Lencart Silva is exempt for the 2018 Tavistock Collegiate Invitational by virtue of a Top-15 finish at the 2018 Jackrabbit Invitational.
  4. Jalen Ledger is exempt for the 2018 Tavistock Collegiate Invitational by virtue of a Top-15 finish at the 2018 Jackrabbit Invitational.
  5. Clement Charmasson is exempt for the 2018 Tavistock Collegiate Invitational by virtue of a Top-15 finish at the 2018 Jackrabbit Invitational.
