ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – For the second time this season, Yannik Oettl has been named Goalkeeper of the Week by the American Athletic Conference for his performance last week against SMU.
The sophomore played all 90 minutes without giving up a goal as the Knights went on to shutout the Mustangs, 2-0.
In his second shutout of the season, Oettl tallied up four saves bringing his total for the season to 26. The Munich, Germany native has started all nine games for UCF and holds a 6-2-1 record in net.
So far this season, Oetll has recorded 835 minutes in goal, which is among the top in The American.
This is the second Goalkeeper of the Week honors for Oettl in his collegiate career.
