Milton Earns Third Player of the Week Honor

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – For the third time in four games, UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton has been named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Milton led the Knights to their fourth straight win of the 2018 season, defeating visiting Pittsburgh 45-14 Saturday in front of a sold out Spectrum Stadium. UCF is now 4-0 for just the second time in program history and hosts SMU Saturday at 7 p.m.

Also a Davey O’Brien Great Eight honoree and Walter Camp Award National Player of the Week for his performance, Milton threw for 328 yards and four touchdowns in the win over the Panthers. He also had 51 rushing yards and two more scores on the ground, marking the second straight week of six total touchdowns for the junior.

Milton continued to climb in the UCF record books, moving past Blake Bortles for fourth place all-time in passing touchdowns and total touchdowns responsible for. He also extended his streak to 18 straight games with at least one touchdown pass.

This marks the third Player of the Week honor for Milton in 2018 and his seventh in the last two seasons.

Milton and the No. 12/13 Knights hit the field again on Saturday when UCF hosts SMU at 7 p.m. on ESPNU and FM 96.9/AM 740 The Game.
