ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Six former Knights have just finished the first stage of the Web.com qualifying school (Q-School) in Lakeland, Fla., at the Grasslands Golf and Country Club.
Greg Eason and Connor Arendell both finished 15-under par and tied for 16th overall. Eason tallied 20 birdies and an eagle, while Arendell finished with 21 birdies and an eagle. Both will advance to the second stage.
Brad Schneider shot 276(-12) over the four rounds racking up 21 birdies along with a pair of eagles. Schneider wrapped up the tournament tied for 33rd.
Right in line with Schneider was Hojin Kang also shooting 276. Kang was six-under on par fives and averaged 4.62 strokes per par five over the four rounds.
Shooting a 66 in the final round, Jhared Hack headed home with shooting a 279(-6) after a strong showing. Hack averaged just over five birdies per round and accumulated 39 total pars over 72 holes.
Ryan Stovash finished with 292 strokes recording 53 pars and dominated the par fives finishing four-under.
Stage two of Q-School will begin next month at five different locations in Texas, Florida, Alabama, Arizona, an California.
