ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF baseball team held its annual scout day on Wednesday afternoon. More than 30 Major League scouts turned up to John Euliano Park to watch the next class of draft-eligible Knights.
After opening the day with a 60-yard dash, the Black and Gold took infield-outfield, patting practice and played a six-inning game that featured nine different pitchers. Head coach Greg Lovelady tinked with the two lineups, rotating players in different positions.
The Knights are slated to face the Canadian Junior National Team on Sunday, Oct. 7, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. Due to restrictive access, the game will not be open to the public.
